Kathleen Ramsey, Allied ASID, CAPS
Owner/Lead DesignerMany prospective clients ask me what my design “style” is. My first priority is listening to you and identifying what your design problems and goals are. Ultimately, you will live in your space and it needs to reflect your personality - not mine. I appreciate all furniture periods, and feel confident using the motifs, colors and lines of them all. My natural tendency is toward adding color and signature items that reflect the client and their unique qualities. Whether you gravitate to “traditional” or “today,” I can help you add the color, texture and style to reflect your personality.
As an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers, I am committed to the highest level of professionalism. In addition, my background as a Registered Nurse makes me uniquely qualified to design for your long-term needs. I have earned the Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) Designation from the HBA.
Choosing an interior designer is a personal choice and one that both parties should be comfortable with. I am happy to provide a complimentary initial visit to the Exclusive Interiors Studio showroom for a portfolio review and overview of your design needs.
Karen Toughey, Allied ASID

Design Assistant
There are many aspects of interior design, each of them as important as the next. It's not just about being creative. It's also about listening to the client, diagnosing problems, devising solutions, knowing what resources are available, working within the budget, managing the process and communicating with everyone involved – especially the client. I joined Ramsey Interiors because Kathleen has demonstrated a mastery of all aspects of interior design. My responsibilities include providing design and administrative support to Kathleen so she has more time to work with clients.
My road to Ramsey Interiors has been a long and winding one. A degree in social work seemed a natural path for someone who had an innate service attitude. Fifteen years in the banking/credit union career is where I developed my organizational and management skills. However, I always had an interest in interior design and recently completed an interior entrepreneurship degree. My role at Ramsey Interiors combines my desire to help others with my business and design skills. I'm here to support not only Kathleen, but also our clients! Call me if I can help you with anything.
